This documentary is a must-see! Our ability to thrive as a nation rests on the origin of knowing our beginning. I AM SHE captivates audiences by intuitively dispelling the myths of the existence of black women in America. Film Director, Sherry Harris’s quest for answers, yields the often-forgotten strength of African American women and their contribution to society, changing the trajectory and creating a shared value of adoration and respect.                                                                                                                   Ti’Gre McNear

I Am She is a beautiful tribute to black women who have forever changed our history and it is told by powerful black women who continue to be a part of that change today. Their stories are told in a way that touches the heart and brings hope for the future. This inspirational film should not be missed.      Ann Desisti

The documentary was profoundly moving. Hearing the story of Margaret Garner, who took the tragic step of killing her daughter to protect her from a life of enslavement, deeply resonated with me. It is essential that we share more narratives like this one. Black women deserve to be honored for their contributions, courage, and resilience, among many other reasons. I encourage you to continue shining a light on these important stories. Excellent work overall. I fully support your efforts and would appreciate knowing how I can contribute moving forward.      Jamarius  Jennings

I Am She is a must-see documentary that educates, enlightens, and provokes a much-needed conversation about the many contributions of African American women in the United States.  This documentary is another crucial input in the fabric of all of our histories, by finally giving voice to Her-story. I Am She urges its viewers to recognize African American women and then go a step further, to change and challenge the prevailing narrative by championing inclusion daily.

I Am She: The Matriarch of America is an educational film that highlights African American women, a group that, historically, has been discredited, undervalued, and overlooked for their nurturing and innovative contributions to society. The film introduces and presents African-American women who have made an impact and reinforces the importance of sharing our story with our youth through the lenses of the film's interviewees. This film compels you to act, tell your story, and use your gifts to pay it forward to present and future generations.       Toni Watson
