Founder
Sherry is a Purdue graduate with a Bachelor's in Engineering, who founded Big Afro Productions in 2023, out of a need to educate where there is a lack of education about black history. We are a nonprofit that creates film works that will encourage African Americans to appreciate their rich history. Our goal is to strengthen our communities. ​​
The mission of Big Afro Productions is to inspire and empower, through powerful films that exemplify the richness of Black history. We believe that our films have the power to educate and motivate individuals and organizations to work toward a more just and equitable world.
The vision of Big Afro Production is that after viewing our films, our younger population in particular will understand the importance of not only knowing their history but also recognizing the richness and allowing the films to motivate them to be proud of who they are and begin living in their greatness.
